Invocation Formation Project
Invocation held its first day conference for diocesan priests recently in July, offering support, continued formation, resources and further focussed workshops to inspire and encourage priests in sharing the joyous witness of their priestly ministry to those they serve, confident and resourceful in living and promoting their priestly vocation. Initial conference days will be offered to other dioceses with spin off workshops at later dates focussing on specific areas for priests to dip in and out of.
Invocation Discernment Project
Invocation has held 4 national discernment festivals based at Oscott College, several day festivals across a number of locations, a discernment pilgrimage to Rome and a regional weekend festival based at Ampleforth Abbey. The intention of these discernment events is to meet a growing need for young people discerning their vocation to come together in fellowship, to encounter Christ, receive catechesis and formation in an environment of prayer and discernment, accompanied by a host of experienced and inspiring priests, religious and lay people from across the globe.
Invocation Education Project
Invocation has held several education conferences and workshops for school leaders in Catholic education. Our intention - to enable Catholic schools and its leaders to foster and develop a culture of vocation within their communities. This work has led to school leaders becoming more aware of their role in fostering vocation and creating more discerning communities. Many schools are also now developing work on a distinctive Catholic curriculum, that places Christ at the foundation of the classroom, in all subjects, as well as radiating from the Catholic ethos of the school. This work not only has helped to create more discerning, philosophical, questioning classrooms and students, but has encouraged and inspired educators in their own spiritual formation with relation to their role as educators. This work continues.
